Associate Consultant–Paediatric Cardiology 03
Job Description
To provide comprehensive specialist care for paediatrics with cardiovascular conditions through accurate diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing follow-up, with the aim of improving cardiovascular health outcomes and quality of life.
Duties and Responsibilities:
i. Diagnose and treat cardiovascular conditions
ii. Implement patient care management plans
iii. Conduct ward rounds in the specialty area.
iv. Participate in training programmes for health Professionals in Paediatric Cardiology.
v. Supervise medical officers, interns and trainees
vi. Identify procurement needs of the department for equipment, drugs and other logistics
vii. Participates in preparation of departmental work plans, budgets and reports.
viii. Prepare duty rosters.
Person/ Job Specifications
i. MBChB or its equivalent from a recognized University/Institution
ii. A Master of Medicine degree in Paediatrics and Child Health or its equivalent from a recognized University/Institution.
iii. Fellowship in Paediatric Cardiology or a Masters in Paediatric Cardiology from a recognized Institution.
iv. Should be registered with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council.
v. Must possess a valid practicing license.
Experience
Working experience of at least three (3) years at a Medical Officer level.
