Job Description

Applications are therefore invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill the 05 Medical Officers positions.

Job Purpose:
To participate in the management of adult cardiovascular patients.

Duties and Responsibilities:
i. Receive, clerk , admit and discharge patients.
ii. Develop patient treatment plans.
iii. Collect data for research.
iv. Initiate and carryout investigations.
v. Update patient records.
vi. Guiding patients and caregivers on treatment plans.
vii. Participate in ward rounds and in the specialty area.
viii. Supervision of medical interns and trainees

Person/ Job Specifications
i. MB.Ch.B from a recognized University or Institution.
ii. Master of Science (MSc) in Medicine (Internal Medicine) or its equivalent from a recognized University/Institution.
iii. Should be registered with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council
iv. Must possess a valid practicing license.
The Medical Officers who will be appointed shall undergo fellowship program for specialisation in Cardiology during their time of service in UHI
