Job Description
Join FINCA Uganda as Head Of Information Technology and play a key role in putting effective frameworks into practice, while supporting and guiding teams within the Risk Management Department to achieve their goals.
Qualifications and Experience
Desired Academic and Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or another relevant field
- Relevant Professional Certifications such COBIT, CGEIT, CRISK, ITIL, PMP, PRINCEZ, CISA,
- Master’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration or related disciplines is an added advantage
- Professional certifications and/or training in network, system, database administration, virtualization technologies, cloud solutions or software development/architecture are an advantage
- At least 10 years of IT leadership experience, including a minimum of 5 years in supervisory, managerial, or senior management roles
- Experience managing enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity, business applications, vendors, and IT projects
- Experience within a regulated financial institution, fintech, telecommunications, or similar highly regulated environment is highly desirable
- Demonstrated experience in IT governance, risk management, business continuity, disaster recovery, and audit management
- Proven experience in management of diverse IT teams
- Experience implementing complex business applications, such as core banking systems (CBS) and/or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
